Reflecting back on my journey getting started in herbalism and building my home apothecary, there was so much to learn and I was taking it all in but not really having a focus. I just dove in, and I’d figure it out as I went along. This wasn’t my usual style or way of approaching things. With herbalism and natural wellness it is hard to know where to start, so I figure I’ll share my journey here and maybe you can relate.

Amie’s Garden Apothecary was started after being inspired by an apothecary shop I discovered while traveling. The products were all handcrafted, with natural, herbal ingredients, and what’s more, they actually worked.

For a long time, I’ve wanted products I could trust—free from harsh chemicals, even if it meant making them myself.

View fullsize I planted marshmallow in my herb garden this year but had no idea how quickly it would take over. Its just started blooming. The herb is great for the digestive system but we will also try making mead with its roots.
